Who Vortex Scientific is, and what we actually do

Vortex Scientific is a United States-based importer and private-label brand supplying machinery to the gold trade: XRF testing analysers, induction melting furnaces and jewellery laser welders. We sell to retail jewellers, workshops, bullion dealers and refiners.

We are an importer, not a manufacturer, and we say so plainly. Machines are sourced from established manufacturers, specified for conditions here — mains supply, ambient temperature, the metals and karats actually worked at the bench — and supplied under our own name with support we are accountable for. What that name buys you is not a factory; it is a single party responsible when something needs fixing.

Why we exist

Buying this class of equipment has historically meant one of two bad options. Either you import directly and discover, eighteen months later, that a board-level fault means shipping the unit abroad and losing it for a season. Or you buy locally from someone who can quote a price but cannot tell you whether a 1 kg furnace is right for your shop, cannot answer what happens on single-phase supply at peak hours, and has no parts on a shelf.

We built Vortex Scientific to close that gap: honest specification advice before the sale, commissioning on site, and parts and service inside the country afterwards.

How we sell

This site is a catalogue, not a shop. There is no cart and no online payment. Every machine page publishes its full specification and its price, dated, so you can compare properly before you talk to anyone. When you are ready, the conversation happens by email, so there is a written record of exactly what was specified.

We would rather tell you a cheaper machine fits your workload than sell you the larger one. An oversized furnace wastes metal on every melt, and a laboratory-grade analyser at a counter that only sorts karat is money spent on precision you will never use.

What we supply

• Ultrasonic Cleaners — Heated ultrasonic tanks that lift polishing compound, skin oils and bench dust out of settings a brush cannot reach.
